Why a Midwest Land Rover Rally? The Mountain and West Coast area has The National Rally. The East Coast has ROAV the rally and the South has SCARR. If you live in the midwest, driving to a event can be 12 hours plus. It only makes sense to have a event located somewhere that is not going to take a week out of your life just for driving. The Chicago Land Rover Club, The Green Oval Guild, The Miami Valley Land Rover Society and The St Louis Land Rover Club have decided to give a Midwest Rover Rally a go. The rally is located at a off road park centrally located in Indiana, about a 4 hour drive from Chicago, St Louis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Columbus etc. We will provide up to date information on this web site. Accomodation links along with restaurant links are provided above. You may choose automated email updates by clicking the subscribe link above.
The Rally will be at The Badlands Off-Road Park in central Indiana
This will be the first of hopefully many Midwest Rally's.
What does it cost?
Entry to the park is the only cost associated with the actual rally. This will not include lodging and meals. The park entrance fee is $20.00 for a one day pass, $30.00 for a two day passs and $40 for a three day pass. There is a $5.00 fee for each passenger per day. All trucks are required by the park to have a flag on their truck, This is for safety reasons. You may purchase one there or bring your own. Any bike shop can supply you with one. The cost at the park is $14.00 for a flag and pole. There are more expensive upgrades also.
When does it start?
We will meet at the beginning of each day for a trail meeting. We will sort drivers according to their comfort and experience level. You may join a trail leader or explore the park at your own pace. The park hours are Friday and Saturday - 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00 pm. All drivers and passengers are required to sign a waiver before entering the park. The Midwest Land Rover Rally or the individual clubs hosting are also not responsible for any damage or injuries that occur while attending our rally.
What to expect?
There are trails from easy to hard. If you have a stock vehicle there are plenty of trails and areas to have fun in without damaging your vehicle. Our Land Rover communitiy is there to help you if necessary. You will be amazed at what your stock Rover can do. For modified trucks there are plenty of rocks and off camber trails to satisfy any driver. All drivers are expected to be responsible and couteous to other drivers and the property we are using.
